Although the authorities are responsible for the actual building and design of houses and streets it is the people who actually build the community. I have taken the Quaker's definition of community in the Quaker publication, Christian Faith and Practice:
'The Community is a place where each man and woman
should find a place of significant service and creative living.'
A great many people of all callings have worked towards this goal for Grovehill over many years and would readily confirm that the caring community which is home for so many of us continues to thrive. I would like to think of this Chronicle as a thanksgiving and celebration of this.
